Chairman National Accountability Bureau Lieutenant General Muneer Hafeez, who is also Colonel-Commandant of FF Regiment, said on Wednesday that history of Piffers Regiment is replete with stories of valour, courage and sacrifices.
He was speaking on the occasion of installation ceremony of Al-Jannisar Battalion.
Appreciating the training standard and battleworthiness of the battalion, he said that performance of the battalion has been commendable during peace and war.
He congratulated the unit officers and Jawans for attaining the status of 'Best Battalion' of the 'Al-Jihad Division'.
He congratulated the new Colonel of the Battalion, Brig (R) Mohammad Aslam Khan, and expressed hope that Al-Jannisar Battalion would flourish more under his guidance.
Hafeez, pinned the badges of 'Colonel of the Battalion' on the shoulders of Brig Aslam to formally install him 'Colonel' of the Battalion.
Brig Aslam, addressing the unit Darbar, said that he was honoured to be appointed 'Colonel' of the battalion which "is the best battalion" of Al-Jihad division.
