Steering Committee of the Piaf-Founder Alliance, the ruling group in the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), while expressing satisfaction over the performance of the LCCI, has called for improving it further.
These observations were made at a meeting of the Alliance chaired by its chairman Mian Muhammad Ashraf. Among others, the LCCI President Mian Anjum Nisar, Senior Vice-President Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman, Vice-President Shahzad Ali Malik, Piaf Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Arshad, Majid Abdullah and various others attended the meeting.
According to a spokesman of the Alliance, it was informed to the Steering Committee that expenses of the delegations sent abroad by the Chamber were borne by delegation members instead of putting any burden on the government or Chamber.
Chairman of the Alliance, Mian Muhammad Ashraf on this occasion termed the bid of some people to make dubious membership of a known business house of the LCCI as a futile effort.
