Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Multan has arrested a female tourist Wipha-Wadee (21) from airport with one kilogramme heroin worth Rs 10 million in international market. She was going to Karachi on Friday to fly to Thailand.
"We took a suspect female drug smuggler Wipha-Wadee (21) of Thailand in our custody at Multan airport on Friday.
"About 150 capsules full of one kilogramme of heroin were recovered from her belly (which she swallowed) by a team of doctors at Nishtar Hospital, Multan," said Captain Shaukat Ali, Assistant Director of ANF Multan.
He said that She came to Pakistan to visit the Northern Areas and she purchased heroin from drug traffickers to smuggle it to Thailand.
Shaukat further said that we are interrogating whether she belongs to an international gang of drug smugglers or she is a new entrant in this field and doing this ugly job on her own.
ANF is also searching the drug trafficker who supplied her heroin capsules.
