Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Muhammad Aziz Khan, Vice Chief of Army Staff General Muhammad Yousaf, Air Chief Air Marshal Saadat Kaleem, Naval Chief Admiral Shahid Karimullah and Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Shahid Aziz called on the Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Ellahi here on Thursday.
While talking to them Ch Pervaiz Ellahi said that the National Horse and Cattle Show was reflective of the national integrity as well as Punjab's culture.
He hoped that this event and ongoing Spring Festival would prove a source of entertainment for the people.
He said that National Horse and Cattle Show has attained great significance with reference to agriculture, entertainment and sports.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Ellahi said that industrial and agricultural exhibitions have also been arranged on the sidelines of the show.
He said that a historical drama Noor Jehan, presently being played at Lahore Fort, would help familiarise the youth with the history of the country.
Chairman JCSC General Muhammad Aziz, Vice Chief of Army Staff General Muhammad Yousaf and Chiefs of Pak Navy and Air force and Corps Commander Lahore appreciated the events of the ongoing Spring Festival in the Punjab capital.
General Muhammad Aziz, General Muhammad Yousaf, Air Marshal Saadat Kaleem, Admiral Shahid Karimullah and Lieutenant General Shahid Aziz also visited the Horse and Cattle Show at Fortress Stadium here.
They were received by Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on their arrival at the Fortress Stadium.
Later, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Muhammad Aziz Khan gave away prizes to the winners of different sports.
