ISLAMABAD: Owing to reduced petrol price, consumption of petroleum products in Pakistan has surged by 11 percent in May as compared to the last year with furnace oil in lead.
At least 8,98,000 tonnes of furnace oil were used in May with a 14 percent increase. Diesel sales also went up last month with at least 8,95,000 tonne consumption of high-speed diesel, a private news channel reported on Thursday.
The sales of high-speed diesel went at least five percent up.
