REAP asked incentives for rice sector

KARACHI: Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) has asked for incentives and government support to rice; which is a major export sector of the country.

In a statement here on Saturday, REAP's patron-in-chief Abdul Rahim Janoo, Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique and Senior Vice Chairman Noman Ahmed Shaikh said this important sector earning more than $ 2.2 billion. They further said that despite very challenging circumstances since last couple of years, rice exporters had contributed a lot to the national economy.
