imagePakistan’s opening batsman Mohammad Hafeez is in Karachi to undergo anMRI scan after a medical report last week showed the condition of his knee to be unsatisfactory.

Hafeez, who missed the two-week-long fitness training programme at Pakistan Military Academy (Kakul), has been included in the 21-man probable list for the upcoming English tour, while his participation in the series would be decided after MRI report. As per reports, If Hafeez is unable to recover, he will be sent abroad for rehabilitation.

The 35-year-old batsman suffered a knee injury during the Asia Cup T20 in Bangladesh two months ago.

Hafeez made his international debut in one-day international (ODI) in April 2003 at Sharjah. The player has hit almost 5,356 runs in ODI with an average run rate of 32.46.
