PSO has good stock of oil

Published Updated

imageKARACHI : Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has 86,000 metric tones petrol in stock , which is sufficient for next 15 days's oil demand of the country.

PSO's Spokesman Ms. Marryam Shah told APP that PSO will decide the fate of 50,000 metric tones of oil being imported through international tender process, after its second laboratory test.

For ensuring the availability of oil stock, she said, PSO will receive another four oil tankers on April 10, 12, 20 and 22.

She explained that 50,000 metric tones of oil was being imported through United Arab Emirates' (UAE) Emirates National Cargo by international tendering.

The consignment was declared as sub-standard after the first test and it was not off-loaded. However, according to the terms of the contract, the product was being tested second time and the lab results would be received by Wednesday evening.

The final decision would be taken on the basis of these results.
