imageMUZAFARABAD: Minister of State and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Marvi Memon here on Friday said BISP and AHAN (a non-governmental organization) have jointly launched a programme to promote the handi craft work of the beneficiaries through E-Commerce.

Speaking at a gathering of the beneficiaries of BISP here,she said through this programme, the beneficiaries would send their handi craft work to the local office of BISP with the picture and than their work would be displayed on the webpage of BISP.

Marvi said that local handicraft and embroidered products would be showcased in international market to enable women to earn their livelihood in a better manner.

She said that through this programme beneficiaries could easily earn a handsome amount at their homes online.

Marvi said that present government was committed to address all the issue of women and promote the empowerment among them, besides focusing on the education and health of women.

She said that currently as many as 108,000 women of Azad Jammu and Kashmir were beneficiary of BISP adding that all the deserving women would be included during the resurvey which had been launched in the different cities of the country.

Marvi said 45,000 BISP beneficiaries' committees were operating across the country and creating awareness among women about their rights.

Under the BISP, Marvi said, 5.2 million registered women were being provided Rs 1500 per month each as financial assistance, adding that the distribution process had been further simplified to avoid any inconvenience to them.

Marvi Memon said across the globe, Pakistanis were celebrating Kashmir Solidarity Day because "the hearts of the peoples of Pakistan and Kashmir beats togather."

Pakistan would continue its morally, politically and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu & Kashmir for their right of freedom till its achievement, she added.

She demanded that India should immediately stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and must give the right to self-determination to the people of Kashmiris according to the UN charter.
