KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim where three ships carrying Containers, G.Cargo and Gas Oil were berthed at Qasim international Containers Terminals, Multi-Purpose Terminal and FOTCO Terminal, respectively.
Meanwhile, four more ships carrying Containers, G.Cargo and Edible Oil also arrived at outer anchorage of the port during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 85% at the port on Friday where a total nine ships namely MSC Maewa, Pacific Lin, Tommi Ritscher, Jazan, Rising, Zante, hen Hi, Piet, UACC Harmony and MT Box are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Rice, General Cargo, Grain, Gas Oil and Edible Oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 158136 tonnes comprising 104663 tonnes imports and 53473 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3430 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
