No mismanagement in PIA employees provident fund

ISLAMABAD: Spokesman Pakistan International Airelines (PIA) on Saturday clarified that media reports regarding irregularities in provident fund of PIA employees is baseless and there is no mismanagement in this fund.

In a statement, he said PIA owes some money of provident fund and this liability is being disclosed in PIA's accounts since 2009.

Despite this, mark-up is being paid, therefore there is no loss to the fund.

SECP's queries on PIA's accounts are a routine matter and are appropriately settled through correspondence, he said.
