ISLAMABAD: Minister for Commerce Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan has met Palestine's Minister for National Economy Ms. Abeer Odeh on the sidelines of 10th WTO Ministerial Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Commerce Minister offered that Pakistan would support Palestine for WTO observer status.
The minister also participated in the plenary session of the WTO Ministerial Conference and delivered Pakistan's country statement, said a statement issued by the Ministry of Commerce here Thursday.
The minister held meetings with the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia Mustafa Muhammad and discussed and review of Free Trade Agreement between Pakistan and Malaysia.
They also agreed to enhance business to business interaction and support each other on issues of mutual interest in the World Trade Organization (WTO).
He also met Vice Minister for Commerce of Thailand Winchai Chaemchaeng on the sidelines of conference and agreed to speed up the process of negotiations on FTA between the two countries.
The minister also held meetings with the participating ministers of Germany, Turkey, Rwanda and Agricultural Facilitator of the Conference and exchanged views on WTO negotiations and bilateral trade.
