KARACHI: The Chief Secretary Sindh, Muhammad Siddiq Memon, has asked the heads of departments to take steps for ably resolving the problems of the people.
A statement here on Sunday said that he also called upon Sindh Services and General Administration and Coordination Department for removing the shortage of the required staff.
The Chief Secretary stressed that the provision of necessary office material be ensured.
He asked the departmental heads to resolve the problems of the employees as well as the people in an effective manner.
Memon said that decisions should be taken in accordance with the rules and regulations and on the basis of merit.
He reminded that resolving problems of the people is the duty and responsibility of the officers and the employees.
The Chief Secretary directed that the system of the distribution of benevolent fund be made effective. Timely payments to Mustahqeen from the fund be ensured in their districts as per the rules and regulations.
He also sought local audit fund report of the last five years in a weeks' time.
