imageRAWALPINDI: Dispelling the impression of any divide on registration of Deeni Madaris (religious seminaries), federal minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Sunday said there was complete unanimity among ulema of almost all schools of thought on the issue.

He said a new proforma had been finalized which would be used to start process of their registration.

"A complete unanimity had emerged among ulema belonging to almost all schools of thought on the issue in a recently held meeting and we have been working with honesty and dedication hence no issue would be left unaddressed," he told APP in an interview here.

Sardar Yousaf said the process of registration would be carried out by the Ministry of Interior in coordination with the concerned provincial governments. "Special curriculum is being devised for Deeni Madaris across the country " he added.

"Ministry of Religious Affairs with the help of Education authorities are devising special curriculum whereby sufficing the need of religion as well as worldly education, said the minister.

The Minister said that various government departments had worked actively on the subject of Madrasah reforms and prepared the new peroforma for registration of Deeni Madaris.

When was asked to comment on the complaints against private Hajj Operators during the last haj season, he said the Ministry had received certain complaints which have been sent to the Complaint Disposal Committee (CDC ) for taking any further decision.

While divulging details about the proposed plan for introduction of interest-free economy, he said on the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif various committees have been formed at different levels to look into the matter and devise policies to do away with the present interest-based economic system.

On the special direction of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the Ministries of Religious Affairs and Finance with the help of renowned Ulema have been working to formulate system of economy based on Islamic principles.

The minister said that the world has already started acknowledging that interest based system had proved failure due to which the poor is getting poorer and the rich getting richer.

He said efforts are in-hand to provide an environment based on coexistence and tolerance thus followers of different schools of thought and religions may work hand-in-glove for the country's development in a peaceful manner.

He said that Ministry of Religious Affairs had successfully brought Ulema from different schools of thought on one table to devise a uniform system of Azan and Jammat in the federal capital.

"Soon we would implement the system of Jamat and azan simultaneously at one time in the whole country with the help of provinces as we have been able to achieve consensus among Ulema, he added.

Sardar Yousaf clarifiing news reports indicating that more than 100 Pakistanis had lost their lives in Mina tragedy said, there is no truth in such news items as Pakistan mission in Saudi Arabia had confirmed deaths of 100 people.

He said about 2 to 3 persons are still missing and work to find them is still on cards.

The process for payment of financial compensation of Rs 500,000 from the Government of Pakistan to the heirs of each victim of the incident is in progress. "Required necessary documentation for dispersal of compensations is being carried out by the heirs of the Mina victims," he said.

However, he said the Saudi authorities have yet to finalize inquiry into the incident.

Meanwhile, he said there were total six Pakistanis included amongst the victims of 'Makkah Crane incident' and cases for financial compensation would be processed after completion of due formalities.
