Pakistani supermodel Ayyan Ali has changed the face of ‘how celebrities will attend the court hearing’. Pakistani actress Meera was held temporarily Thursday in the dual nikkah case for not submitting Rs 50,000 surety bond. She was seen wearing all white with a Sun Hat with a rose propped at the back.
The actress was not allowed to leave court until submission of Rs 50,000 surety bond. Meera arrived at the court in Lahore Cantt for the hearing of the dual nikkah case filed against her by husband Atiq-ur-Rehman.
Surrounded by half a dozen lawyers in black suits she tried to recreate the way Ayyan Ali made her appearances in the court. Ayyan pulled off much controversy for making style statements every time she was presented in front of court. She allegedly also dished out nearly Rs. 170,000 for a single court appearance.
According to local media reports, Huma Adnan who is a creative director at one of the trendy Pakistani fashion labels said, “I just feel the actress is having some really bad days. She reminds me of Silk Smitha who, after losing her fame, resorted to all the wrong acts. She needs a therapist badly and with the kind of dressing she has at the court, it's just another proof of her mental state. She wants to look pure by wearing all white, but sadly has made a fool of herself by adding that hat as if she's going to a derby.”
Meera has been accused by Atiqur Rehman who claims that Meera had entered into a marriage contract with him and later married Captain Naveed in 2013. Rehman claims that Meera entered into a second marriage contract while still being married to him. The civil judge Lahore Cantt ordered Meera to appear before the court multiple times but the actress failed to make an appearance before.
