MIRPUR: WAPDA has started gradual rising of water level in the reservoir at the first leg of process as water level in Mangla dam raised to 1202.40 feet on Monday against the dead level of 1140.00 feet.
The sources told APP the present live storage of water in the reservoir was recorded as 4.568 MAF.
The inflow of the Jhelum river in Mangla dam was recorded as 19600 cusec and outflow as 13000 cusec, the sources said.
Since the Mangla dam has been raised by 30 feet, the authorities intend to raise the water level gradually under the phased program.
At the first leg of the program, the authorities intend to raise the water level by 1210 by the mid of next month.
