SUKKUR: Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) is taking all possible steps to overcome the energy crisis, however, the crisis can be overcome with the cooperation of consumers only, said spokesman for SEPCO here on Monday.
He said that the general public is requested to save the energy by means of less consumption especially during the peak hours, from 6.00 P.M. to 11.00 P.M. While petrol pumps and jewellery shops have also been asked for avoiding the use of decorative lights. He said that domestic consumers have also been requested to use energy savers and tube lights instead of bulbs so that energy could be saved.
He further said that tube-well operators are directed for operating tube-wells in accordance with load shedding schedule as customers could not face difficulties in getting water.
