KARACHI: President-designate of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan and Prime Minister AJK, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed led a 35-member delegation of the AJK Cabinet at a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah at CM House here Monday.
Talking to the delegation, the Sindh CM said the victory which has been achieved by the PPP in election in AJK is an important milestone for Pakistan and Kashmir.
He recalled that President Asif Ali Zardari had directed to hold free, transparent and fair election in the AJK.
He said it is very good that the PPP-led government is formed in AJK during the of the PPP in the country.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had supported the idea that right of self-determination of the people of Kashmir should be accepted.
Welcoming the delegation, PPP leader MNA Ms. Faryal Talpur said "our leaders Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had sacrificed their lives for the cause of democracy and role of all party workers for the same is also exemplary.
She said if Shaheed Benazir Bhutto would have been alive, she would have been very happy on victory of the PPP in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, AJK Prime Minister, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed said "we have been given so much love and respect by the people for which we are very thankful.
He said Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had given rights of franchise to the people of Kashmir. Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto highlighted the Kashmir issue before the world, he added.
He said President Asif Ali Zardari has made a history by giving political rights to Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA.
The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir informed the Sindh CM that the delegation would visit Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto on August 16 to visit the grave of martyrs of PPP.
Later, the Sindh Chief Minister hosted a reception in honor of the delegation and they were also presented shield and traditional gifts of 'Ajarak', by the Sindh CM.
