President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday commended security forces for successfully eliminating 10 Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khawarij terrorists during targeted operations in South Waziristan and Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In separate statements, both leaders lauded the professional competence and bravery of the armed forces, specifically recognising the security personnel for thwarting an attack by terrorists in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan.

President Zardari emphasised that the nation stands firmly alongside its brave security forces and law enforcement agencies, adding that the sacrifices made in the fight against terrorism are deeply valued. Echoing these sentiments, Prime Minister Shehbaz stated that the entire country takes pride in the courage, sacrifices, and operational capabilities of the security forces. He reiterated the government’s resolve to dismantle networks spreading terrorism under foreign patronage.
