Pakistani veteran cricketer Shahid Afridi has been approached by Indian dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye 7’ but he turned down the offer saying he don’t like the world seeing his wife shaking a leg.
According to local media reports, the makers were close to finalising the signing amount when the batsman suddenly developed cold-feet. “Shahid was ready for a solo act but when told that his wife and he would have to groove together, he was taken aback. He categorically told us that he doesn’t want the whole world to see his wife dancing. He turned down the offer saying, ‘Biwi ko nahin nachana hai!’ Nobody could argue with that as it’s a personal call,” the source quoted him saying.
However, makers are still trying to convince him for the upcoming season of popular Indian dance reality TV show. Currently, Afridi is playing his last World Cup in Australia/New Zealand.
It should also be noted that former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik and his wife, Sania Mirza have also participated in the same dance reality TV show.
