KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port where four ships C.V saigon express. M.V Tan Binah-22 M.T horizon and M.T batter sea Park scheduled to load/ to load containers, cement, phosphoric acid and palm oil were arranged berthing at Qasim International container terminal, multi purpose terminal , liquid cargo terminal and engro vopak terminal respectively at Port. Qasim on Tuesday, 10th March.
Berth occupancy was observed at 50% at the Port on Tuesday, where seven ships namely C.V CMA CGM Bellini , C.V K Phoenix, C.V Saigon Express, M.V Tan Binah-22, M.T Horizon, M.T Lahore and M.T Batter sea Park were occupied PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Cement , Palm Oil furnace oil and Phosphoric Acid respectively during last 24 hours.
A Cargo volume handed at the Port at 68,318 tonnes, comprises 46,223 tonnes imports and 22,095 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,908 Containers (TEUs) 861 imports and 1,047 exports TEUs) were handled during last 24 hours. Departures:
Containers vessels 'CMA CGM Bellini' and 'K Phoenix' sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning , while another containers vessel 'Saigon Express' is expected to sail at night hours. Outer Anchorage: Outer anchorage is vacant. Arrival Schedule:
Four ships C.V CMA CGM Carman , C.V Michigan, M.T inception and M.T Lahore carrying Containers, canola seeds and Furnace oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Grain & Fertilizer Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 11th March- 2015, while two more ships M.T Atlantic Glory and Oriental Queen with Chemicals and General cargo are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday, 12th March-2015.
