KARACHI: Four ships namely C.V CMA CGM Lamartine, C.V Maersk Hardford, M.T FSL London and M.T Eupen carrying containers with 18.750 tonnes Palm oil and 4,500 tonnes LPG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid cargo Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 14th January-2015.
Meanwhile another containers ship CMA CGM Florida also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim.
Berth Occupancy was observed at the Port at fifty percent on Wednesday, where seven ships namely, C.V CMA CGM Lamartine, C.V Maersk hardford, C.V Northern Jaugar, M.V Hyderabad, M.V Sino-6, M.T Eupen were occupied PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Fertilizer, Palm oil and LPG respectively during last 24 hours. A cargo volume of 77,786 tonnes, comprises 47,538 tonnes imports and 30,248 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,375 Containers (TEUs) (1,783 imports and 1,592 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours. Departures:
Container Vessel 'CMA CGM Lamartine' sailed out to sea on Thursday morning while another ship Container ship 'Maersk Hardford' is expected to sail on same day afternoon. Arrival Schedule:
Two ships C.V CMA CGM Florida and C.V Hansa America carrying containers are expected to take berths at Container Terminal berth # 6 and 8 respectively on Thursday, 15th January, while three more ships, container ship 'Maule' oil tanker 'CPO Australia' and 'edible oil carrier 'Bunga Angsana' are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday, 16th January-2015.
