Bollywood actress and International singer Priyanka Chopra has been invited by the Maldives Government as a special guest at the ‘International Music Festival’ alongside international pop sensation AKON, to celebrate 50th years of their independence.
According to media reports, Priyanka Chopra will share the stage with pop sensation AKON at the ‘International Music Festival’ in Maldives. The actress received an invitation from Ahmed Adeeb, Minister of Tourism Maldives, to be a special guest at the live concert that will take place at National Stadium Malé.
‘Mary Kom’ star will fly to the Islands to be part of the celebrations and also to promote harmony and collaborations with the international tourism industry via entertainment from around the world.
In an interview to an Indian media, Chopra said, “The Maldives holds a very special place in my heart for many reasons. One of my first big events during the Miss World Competition was held there and I have so many wonderful memories. I am excited to be going back. I congratulate the people of Maldives on their 50th year of Independence and I look forward to celebrating this special moment with them”.
Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra is among the Top10 Most Popular artists of 2014 as well as she also gained worldwide popularity owing to her international debut as a singer.
