Today marks the birthday of renowned Pakistani actor/director/producer/comedian and host Moin Akhtar.
Moin Akhtar was born in Karachi to an Urdu speaking family. He was a highly dynamic and versatile actor. Starting his career on stage and radio he became an internationally known actor with plays like ‘Baqra Kisto pe’ and ‘Buddha ghar pe he’. He has performed on stage alongside the likes of Indian legends Dilip Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Madhuri Dixit to name a few.
He also teamed up with many living legends like Anwar Maqsood, Umer Sharif and Bushra Ansari for many shows. The most popular shows of Moin Akhtar include ‘Rozi’, ‘Loose Talk’ and ‘Eid Train’.
Few years ago on April 22, 2011, he passed away from heart attack. His fans around the globe will surely agree that he was one of the blessed actors of Pakistani entertainment industry. The nation is proud to have such talent in the country.
