imageISLAMABAD: The Departmental Development Working Party (DDWP) has approved rupees over 709 million for development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The meeting was held in Gilgit, Chief Secretary Skindar Sultan Raja who is also Chairman of the DDWP presided,reported Radio Pakistan.

The approved schemes include police officers residential quarters in Hunza, costing rupees over 118 million, purchase of vehicles for home department more than 177 million, repairing of bridges in Baltistan 102 million .

The road widening project from Hamayon to Sarmo Baltistan rupees costing 150 million was also sanctioned.
