The organizers of the 'MTV' Europe Music Awards (EMAs) have roped in singer Enrique Iglesias to perform at the event in Glasgow next month. 'MTV' 'EMA' is one of the biggest global music events of the year, which celebrates the best artists from around the world. Iglesias revealed the news to his fans this morning via his social media accounts and the organizers have confirmed the news.
The 39-year-old singer has been nominated for the ‘Best World Stage’ Performance and 'Best Spanish Act'at the 'EMA'.
According to media reports, Nicki Minaj is set to host the 'MTV' 'EMAs'. Previously announced performers include Ariana Grand, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris and Minaj. British rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will be honored with the Global Icon Award.
A source revealed that, ‘MTV’ has unveiled, a socially-focused award category for the 2014 'MTV' 'EMA', titled 'Best Song with a Message', which recognizes songs that have an empowering impact on young people, tackling important issues they care about and inspiring them to have a social conscience.
The 2014 'MTV' 'EMA' will broadcast live from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on Monday 10th November at 8:00 AM, NZT on MTV, Sky Channel 014.
