TOKYO: World community must take notice of the Indian atrocities and human rights violations in the Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) and support Kashmiris' struggle to attain thier right to self-determination.

This was stated by Noor Muhammad Jadmani, Pakistan Ambassador in Japan, while briefing a group of Japanese journalists on Kashmir Solidarity Day here Saturday, said a press release.

The ambassador called upon the international community to extend every possible assistance to the just cause of Kashmiri people and put pressure on India to stop killings of innocent Kashmiri Muslims.

During last 63 years, over 90,000 Kashmiris have been killed by the Indian security forces to suppress their indigenous freedom movement but it has failed to weaken their strong determination, he added.

The Ambassador said that sacrifices of the Kashmiri people would not go waste and their struggle for freedom would succeed.

Pakistan would never abandon Kashmiris and would extend them all possible moral and political support on all international fora.

Pakistan's principled stand on IoK had not changed and it wanted to resolve the IoK dispute through peaceful means, including implementation of UN resolutions on it.

He said,"the Kashmiris have lost their homes, friends and families in IoK; yet they have not lost hope and have remained steadfast in their quest to achieve their right of self-determination."

The Ambassador emphasized that peace in IoK was linked to peace in South Asia. He stressed upon the Japanese media to highlight the Kashmir issue in its real perspective and expose Indian human rights violations in the IoK.
