ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Central Secretary Information Senator Mushahidullah Khan Friday said elements, which were rejected in the general elections, did not pose any threat to democracy.
Talking to media outside Parliament House, he said people, already rejected in the general elections, were now trying to hatch conspiracies against the democracy but their agenda will be rejected by the people again.
He said Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehrik Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri had no role in the country's politics, and he forcefully gathered employees of Minhaj-ul-Quran to gain political mileage.
Mushahid asked Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to carry out audit of the funds, collected earlier, to stage sit-in at D-Chowk against the last PPP government.
He said people of the country and leadership of the main political parties had rendered sacrifices for the restoration and strengthening of democracy in the country.
He said apparently Dr.Tahir-ul-Qadri and PTI chief Imran Khan were close companions of former dictator Musharraf.
To a question he said Dr Tahir ul-Qadri statement regarding shifting of Shairf family to aboard has no reality.
To another question he asked PTI chief Imran Khan to respect the mandate of people. He said the government has initiated mega development projects in the country.
