Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers and edible oil are currently in process of un-loading at Qasim international Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal, said port officials Monday.

Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers, chemical and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 20% at the port on Monday where total two ships namely MSC Kerry and Bunga Asker are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 34013 tonnes comprising 20600 tonnes imports and 13503 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 643 containers (TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
