Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: A ship carrying containers was berthed at Qasim international Containers terminal on Wednesday.

Meanwhile five more ships carrying containers and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 45% at the port on Thursday where total five ships namely CGM Wagner, Inlaco Brave, Coral III, MT. Lahore and Golden Covenant are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, mud cock, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 69508 tonnes comprising 56677 tonnes imports and 12831 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1007 containers (TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
