KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, cement and iron ore were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and IOCB Terminal on Monday.
Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, edible oil and steel coil are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55 percent at the port on Tuesday where total six ships namely Saf Marine Ngami, Alam Sayang, Mandarin Handong, Dalian Star-D, Glory Ocean and Coral III are currently occupying berths to load/offload, containers, cement, rice and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 38502 tonnes comprising 14558 tonnes to experts inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 944 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
