OSLO: Statoil plans to drill further wells to evaluate its Canadian oil discovery but has not yet scheduled further drilling activity and rig availability could push its next test into 2015, exploration chief Tim Dodson said on Thursday.
Statoil, which unveiled an up to 600 million barrel find offshore east Canada on Thursday, said it could return to the prospect with two or three wells in 2015.
