Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Thursday.

Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers and urea also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 35% at the Port on Friday where total four ships namely Dubai Express, Bux Contact, Tamil Nadu and M.T Quetta are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, urea and furnace oil respactively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 79431 tonnes comprising 63954 tonnes imports and 15477 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1541 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
