KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and chemicals were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal on Thursday.
Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, gen, furnace oil and LPG mix also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Friday where total six ships namely Hammonia Pacificum, Diamond Star, Observator, Atlantic Glory, Chem Bulk Minneapolis and Theofy Laktos are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, chemicals and rape seed respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 60,171 tonnes comprising 42,419 tonnes imports and 17,752 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 629 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
