Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Tuesday, September 03.

Meanwhile, one more ship carrying containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 55% at the port on Wednesday where a total six ships namely Nysted Maersk, Sealand New York, Sudair, Inlaco Brave, Malakand and Iron Lady are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement/Sand, rape seed and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 81391 tonnes comprising 55752 tonnes imports and 25639 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2471 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
