KARACHI: Five ships carrying containers, chemical and diesel oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Thursday.
Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers, furnace oil and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 85% at the Port on Friday where a total nine ships namely CGM Eiffel, Kerstin, MSC Kerry, MV. Faith, Vindo Nissa, Argent Eye Bright, Peral Jabel Ali, Norgas Challenger and Al-Soor-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, edible oil, iron ore, chemical and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 108290 tonnes comprising 79543 tonnes imports and 28747 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1696 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
