KARACHI: Two ships arrived at the Port to load/ offload Containers at QICT, on March 8 and 9, port sources said here Saturday.
Berth occupancy was maintained at 79% at the Port on Saturday where a total of eleven ships namely M.V KPS-I Alican Bey-Powership, M.V Mycenae, M.V Veruda, M.V Anthea, M.T MID Fighter, M.V City of Beijing, M.V Saigon Express, M.V MSC Nilgun, M.V Cape Flores, M.V Lance Lot, M.V Dong Hai Jun 7001 (Dredger) are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, iron ore, palm oil.
Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 81338 tonnes comprising 46293 tonnes import, 35045 tonnes export, (2152) TUEs was handled during the last 24 hours.
M.V City of Beijing, M.V MSC Nilgun sailed on Friday afternoon, M.V Saigon Express, M.V Cape Flores, MY Cane sailed on Saturday morning.
M.T Lincon Park, at EVTL, M.T Asphalt Merchant, M.V Asian Express at M.W M.T, AL Salam II at FOTCO, M.T STY Forty at LCT arrive on March 9, 2013 as per arrival schedule.
