nokia-asha-310KARACHI: Its entry in to the smartphone arena may have come later than other leading mobile phone companies, but Nokia seems to have figured out the formula for success. The company's recently announced launch of the Nokia Asha 310, has hit on all the features that are desirable in emerging economies including Pakistan, where mobile phone usage is graduating towards smartphones and internet accessibility.

The new phone packs a one-two punch with wifi capability and dual-SIM functionality, marking a first for the Company. The Nokia Asha 310 is also priced reasonably, thus making it a smart choice for youth and young professionals looking for functionality and style without draining the wallet.

The market in Pakistan is already flooded with dual-SIM mobile phones, but the new Nokia phone is dintinguishable for two reasons. Firstly, the wifi connectivity and secondly, the external slot for a second SIM which means users do not have to remove the phone battery or primary SIM to use the second connection.

Given the present ban on Youtube, users in Pakistan may have to wait a few more months to avail the service but the new smartphone also packs 40 free EA Games, to fill up free time until the videos website is accessible in the Country again.

The cost saving extends beyond the purchase of the Nokia Asha 310. The phone's built-in Nokia Express Browser compresses data by upto 90 percent, thus slashing the expense incurred with the mobile service provider.
