LAHORE: Managing Director,Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) Arif Hameed has taken serious note of staff negligence in redressing the grievances of consumers.
Official sources told APP here Sunday that MD directed all field GMs to conduct surprise visits to various offices of sub regions to monitor the performace of the officers and staff for providing best available services to consumers which he added are backbone of the company.
MD Arif Hameed taking serious notice directed GM SNGPL Lahore Suhail Gulzar,all incharges of the sub regions including Chief Engineers, Distribution Engineers, Accounts Officers and Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and heads of billing sections to address the complaints of the public on top priority otherwise strict action will be taken irrespective of their designation.
The MD issued these directions when it was brought to his notice that staff at SNGPL sub region at Harbancepura failed to address the genuine grievances of the consumers and no staff is co-operating with them for getting their problems solved.
One of the applicant told the MD that his name appearing at serial no 18 in GM list dated Nov 20 last year for the grant of new connection at 216-A, Lahore Press Club Housing Scheme was conveyed to incharge Harbancepura next day but no action has so far been taken in this regard while the staff visited the site five times but did not provide connection.
When incharge Faran Nadeem was contacted, told that he has not received any intimation from the GM.
