  • FM says India is using negative propaganda to divert world's attention from its internal issues
Published Updated

(Karachi) Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that India is promoting the policy of Hindutva which poses a threat to regional peace and stability. He urged the international community to take notice of the matter.

Chairing a high level meeting on national security in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said that India is using negative propaganda to divert world's attention from its internal issues. "Irresponsible statements from the Indian officials show New Delhi's confusion," Qureshi highlighted.

He maintained that Pakistan wants peace and stability in the region, while India is committing ceasefire violations on the Line of Control. He said, "India is continuously targeting civilian population in violation of international laws and fundamental human rights."

He said Pakistan has already conveyed the UN Secretary General, President of UN Security Council and Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation about Indian designs.

The FM reiterated that Pakistan will continue its sincere efforts for the success of Afghan peace process and stability in the region.
