(Karachi) Balochistan Government Spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani has blamed men for the rise in coronavirus infection rate.

Addressing a media briefing on Friday, he said that the percentage of women contracting Covid-19 has increased from 21 percent to 24 percent.

The minister said that the government closed offices and educational institutions to curb spread of virus and most women stayed at home. "It is men who are taking coronavirus inside our homes," he remarked.

Highlighting the facts, the minister said that about 7 percent patients in Balochistan consists of children, while the most people infected with the disease are between 21 to 40 years.

He said the provincial government is providing packages of multivitamins, masks and other necessary equipment to patients who are in home isolation to improve recovery rate.

Shahwani urged recovered corona patients to donate plasma so that it can be used to cure other patients.
