LCCI to hold Roundtable Conference on 10th

LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)in collaboration with Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) and Lahore University of Management Studies (LUMS) is holding a day long Roundtable Conference on Thursday, on the various facets of Pak-India economic and trade cooperation.

 

The core objective of Roundtable Conference is to prepare a working paper for key decision makers in Pakistan and India for future policy guidelines. The key speakers include: LCCI President Farooq Iftikhar, Deputy Indian High Commissioner Gopal Bagly, Additional Commerce Secretary, Pakistan, Fazl Abbass Mekan, Chief Executive ICRIER Rajat Kathuria, Professor Nisha Taneja, Country Director International Growth Centre, LUMS, Ijaz Nabi and DG Mumbai Chamber of Commerce and Industry Atindra Sen.

 

The three main areas that have been identified to deliberate upon include: importers and exporters perspective on trade normalisation between Pakistan and India, Non-Tariff Barriers on either side and prospects for Foreign Direct Investment in the two countries.
