Petrol pump owners overcharge customers

KHAIRPUR: Local petrol pumps owners are selling petrol at higher rates conning buyers at many petrol pumps of talukas Khairpur, Kingri, Gambat, Sobhodero, Faiz Gunj, Thari Mirwah, Kotdiji and Nara instead of official rates of Rs106 per liter, the petrol is being sold at the rate Rs110 per liter.

Due to this broad daylight conning heated arguments between customers and petrol pump staff have become routine matter.

Meanwhile, smuggled Iranian petrol is being openly sold in different parts of Khairpur. Sources say some highly influential people are involved in this business so the police and administration do not take action against them.
