SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali has said that measures were been taken to enable the industrial sector meet all the international quality control standards.
"The industry must operate on modern production lines", said the minister while talking to APP at reception hosted by Naveed Iqbal Sheikh, a local businessman here.
The Minister highlighted that several modern laboratories were being established at major industrial hubs, including Sialkot, to facilitate business community and manufacturers.
Mir Changez Minister stressed upon the business community, chambers and trade bodies to step forward and identify their needs at the earliest. "Ministry of Science and Technology will develop close coordination with all Chambers, other trade bodies to ascertain their industrial needs in their respective cities", he said.
Meanwhile, the Federal Minister inaugurated newly established Liaison Office of Pakistan Standard Control Authority (PSQCA North) at Cleaner Production Centre (CPC) Sialkot on Tuesday.
On the occasion, he assured that appropriate steps would be taken for resolving problems faced by gloves industry on priority basis.
He also inspected Cleaner Production Centre (CPC).
