Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying cement and steel coil were allotted berth at Multi Purpose Terminals during last 24 hours.

Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port Qasim on Tuesday where total number of six ships namely M.S Fiesta, ILC Friendship, Helios Triumph, Argent Hibicus, Imperial and MT Qubaa are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, rice, steel coil, chemical coal and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 59,907 tonnes comprising 58,624 tonnes imports and 1,283 tonnes exports were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
