KARACHI: Six ships carrying containers, chemical furnace oil and edible oil were allotted berths on Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to offload corn, chemical and live stock are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 95% at the Port Qasim on Monday where total number of ten ships namely M.V Maersk Uttah, MSC Sena, AMS Pegauses II, Shipphire II, Unicorn Emerald, SFL Kent, MV Norgas Orinda, Euro Sea, Chem Road Vega and Cape Banks are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, corn, chemical, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A caring volume of 77,351 tonnes comprising 59,600 tonnes imports and 17,751 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,895 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
