ISTANBUL: The Turkish lira weakened to 1.8306 versus the dollar, its lowest level since June 28, on Tuesday as investors sold riskier assets due to renewed worries over the euro zone debt crisis.
The lira was at 1.8230 versus the greenback late on Monday.
Turkey's benchmark March 2014 bond rose to 7.97 percent, from a previous close at 7.86 percent.
