KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying cement and furnace oil were allotted berths at Multi Purpose Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Wednesday.
Meanwhile three more ship scheduled to load/offload containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 30% at the Port on Thursday where total number of three ships namely MV. Aeola, MSC Jade and AL Khalidia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours,
A cargo volume of 54155 tonnes comprising 31185 tonnes imports and 22970 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1000 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
