KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying containers and edible oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal on Sunday.

Meanwhile one more ships scheduled to offload edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 55 percent at the Port Qasim on Monday where total number of six ships namely M.V Maersk Kentucky, MSC Ayala, Rainbow Fair, BBC Kosan, Ginga Eagle and MV.Chem Road Vega are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, general cargo and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 56,510 tonnes, comprising 36,790 tonnes imports and 19,720 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,048 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
