Pakistan to lift ban on PPEs exports this week

Pakistan will lift the ban on the exports of personal protective equipment (PPEs) this week, which will allow local manufacturers to sell coronavirus related goods overseas, informed Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry.

“This week ban on exports of PPE’s will be completely lifted and Pakistani manufactures will be able to export COVID -19 related material to the world, this trade will help Pakistan immensely,” said Fawad Chaudhry in a tweet post on Friday.

Earlier, the federal minister informed that the local companies across the country are now able to produce medical supplies, including thousands of sanitizers, testing kits, and ventilators, as part of Pakistan’s battle to increase desperately needed equipment in the fight against COVID-19.

Talking to a private news channel, Fawad assured that there would not be any further shortage of sanitizers in the country as hand sanitizers by PCSIR (Ministry of S&T) WHO-approved standards is now available on a mass level.
